Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a compound found in cannabis. It is also found in a lot of our products, including gummies, flower, extracts, and more! Extracting CBD is a process that involves separating the chemical compound from the plant and then distilling it in high concentrations. There are many different ways to do this depending on the strain and preferred method. You can read more about that here. There are many physical and mental health benefits to CBD as well. The extraction process makes it more readily available and easier to consume.

Some research also suggests that CBD could be beneficial for the treatment of acne. Acne is very common and is caused when pollutants get trapped inside of your pores. The pollutants mix with sebum, an oil that your skin produces. It causes inflammation within the skin, thus leading to acne. CBD has been proven to reduce swelling and inflammation. When taken topically and mixed with other healthy oils, it can have a more powerful effect. Another option is to take CBD internally with gummies, extracts, or other types of concentrates. Overall, these methods could reduce inflammation in your body and might be the right treatment for you! Experimenting with different types of products is important because everyone’s body reacts differently to different things. In my experience, I have dryer skin so choosing a nourishing and hydrating oil would be beneficial to me. Coconut oil and sunflower oil have worked for me! If your skin is oily, choosing a lighter oil or moisturizer could work better for you. Tea tree, jojoba, and argan oils are safer options for more oily skin.

Please note these are not medical claims and are based on internet research.  If you would like to further your studies on the topic, please reach out to a medical professional.  Everyone reacts differently to the consumption of cannabis and different cannabidiols, so make sure to use all the information at your disposal.
